This is an incredible award for the band. All performing Eagles should be allowed to be present when The Eagles are honored. Only Don Henley has been there from the beginning. Even the gigantic ego of Henley should not allow him to be the only recipient of this award. Randy Meisner and Don Felder should be honored along with Joe Walsh, Bernie Leaden and Timothy B. Schmidt. With his contribution to the latest version, Stuart Smith should be acknowledged.

The music world knows the story and now is not the time to be petty and vindictive. Get this animosity behind them and take this opportunity to heal old wounds. The legacy of the music comes before the ego(s) of the two founding leaders. Step up. Be the bigger man.
