Eagles play private party

According to Lucy Walsh's Twitter, the Eagles were hired by some rich guy to play at his party along with John Mayer in Napa on Nov. 28. Must be nice to be that loaded! You gotta shell out seven figures to get the guys to sing at your soiree, and that's not even counting the additional cash the dude had to cough up for John Mayer so his guests could slow dance to "Your Body Is a Wonderland"!

To see what the guys playing at a party might look like, check out the video for "Busy Being Fabulous" on their official MySpace:

Eagles Radio Features Some Interviews Starting Labor Day Weekend

Got this from the Orlando Sentinel:

"Beginning September 4th, A.P.E. Radio will begin to air guitar hero Walsh's down-to-earth conversations with his friends and fellow rock stars including Ringo Starr, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson and Mike Rutherford(Genesis, Mike + the Mechanics)."

Should be interesting!

Eagles appear in "People Celebrates the 70s!"

Is it unreasonable to thumb through People Magazine Celebrates the '70s while waiting in line at the grocery store, hoping the Eagles get a mention... and then gasping in delight when you see a two-page photo spread? Of course not! Pages 66-67 under "Music Monster Acts." Nice! On sale now. (Sadly Fleetwood Mac only gets a small inset, but the full page photo of Stevie Nicks is nice. Relevant here because she dated both Don and Joe).

Widescreen Wallpapers

I got a new laptop and discovered to my dismay that none of my wallpapers looked good on a widescreen with its wider proportions. To rectify that, I created widescreen versions of all of my Eagles wallpapers. Click on the thumbnail to view the widescreen version of the wallpaper, which obviously will be somewhat changed from the original it represents.

With all the hustle and bustle and trying to wrap up Henley's birthday treats (which has turned into "Don Henley Week" since I've been putting up stuff every day!) Dang, July is a busy month, isn't it?

Anyway, thanks for all the folks who come and visit. This site may be dedicated to the Eagles, but it exists for their fans.

Eagles Online Radio Show

The Billboard News website announced earlier this month that Clear Channel Radio and Front Line Management are joining forces to create a stand-alone company that will allow musicians to produce their own online radio shows. The channels will run 24 hours a day and play songs chosen by the artist, interviews, and commentary. The program will launch in July with the Eagles, Christina Aguilera, and Weezer. For more information regarding this, visit the billboard.com site.

Eagles lose the suits for Utah show!

For the Utah show, the Eagles performed casual. We''ll see if they do this for Europe and have truly gotten rid of those suits, or if it was simply because the Rio Tinto Stadium is outdoors. Regardless, it's nice to see!

Check out photos and a review in the Deseret News.

Setlist for the Benefit

According to a couple attendees, the Eagles played a brief set last night. It was:

- No More Walks in the Wood
- Waiting in the Weeds
- Take It to the Limit
- Love Will Keep Us Alive
- Lean on Me (with Michelle Branch)

Thanks to CM and HitFix.com!

Race to Erase MS

Some searching uncovered a few bits about last night's benefit. Apparently they didn't play Hotel California! Looks like they played with Michelle Branch, not just after her, though. Cool! Some photos (also try Getty Images)
